САРА МИЛЕНКОВСКА

Sara Milenkovska is a researcher and activist working on advancing intersectional, feminist, and queer justice. With dual master’s degrees—one in Gender, Politics and Inequality from the London School of Economics and Political Science, where her thesis explored collective care as a pathway to mutual aid, commoning, and resistance, and another in Strategic Communications from IKS Skopje focusing on the impact of anti-gender movements—Sara has long interrogated the deep-rooted systems of inequality that shape our world.

In her role as Project Coordinator at Coalition MARGINS, Sara channels her academic insights and grassroots experience to drive transformative social change.

Sara’s work not only interrogates systemic inequality and anti-gender movements but also amplifies the voices of those often overlooked—especially within queer communities and among those facing digital gender-based violence. Grounded in both theory and practice, her approach merges rigorous research with on-the-ground activism, ensuring that feminist and queer principles inform every initiative. Оn transnational level – as a UN Delegate at the UN Global Dialog on Technology, she made feminist interventions on the crossection of TFGBV and prevention in face of anti-gender politics.

Previously, as a co-founder and Program Manager of the Stella Network—a civil society organization dedicated to gender equality—Sara spearheaded mentorship programs and launched initiatives like #SpodeliAvtorka (Share a Woman Author), an effort that has donated thousands of feminist and queer literature books across Macedonia. Her multilayered journey as a scholar, organizer, and advocate underscores a lifelong commitment to dismantling oppressive structures and building inclusive, equitable communities.
