National Forum |(Un)Available Data for Measuring Access to Justice

The Coalition Margins, in partnership with the Association for Emancipation, Solidarity and Equality of Women ESE, is organizing a National Forum to present the report on the implementation of the UN sustainable development goal “Promote the rule of law and ensure access to justice for all.” The National Forum will be held at the Holiday Inn Hotel Skopje, on February 14th, 2019, from 11:00 to 13:00.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) are a universal call to action to end poverty, provide sustainable future, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy equality, peace and justice. Access to justice is recognized as a separate development goal, while its implementation directly affects the economic growth of a society.

Having recognized the meaning of access to justice as an individual development goal, the Coalition Margins and the Association ESE, financially supported by the Open Society Foundation Macedonia (OSFM), initiated the promotion process of this particular development goal and the need for its implementation in our society. Towards this end, in the course of the previous year we developed a special report on the situation with the rule of law and access to justice in our country. The main findings will be presented at the National Forum, attended by representatives from the government, ministries, institutions, civil society organizations and international organizations working in this field.
