IRENA CVETKOVIK

Irena Cvetkovik has a Master’s Degree in Gender studies. Currently she is working on her doctoral thesis from the area of gender studies. As a young researcher, she has worked on many research projects in the area of sociology, gender studies and media. She was the author of a socially engaged blog “Femgerila”, and then a columnist in the daily newspaper “Dnevnik”. She is a human rights activist for the rights of the marginalized communities, with focus on LGBTI rights, drug users’ rights and sex workers’ rights. She is an active member of several formal and informal activist groups. At the moment she is the executive director of the Coalition ‘Sexual and Health Rights of Marginalized Communities’ – Skopje.
