In Solidarity – A message on Trans Day of Remembrance

Every year on 20th November activists all over the world commemorate Trans Day of Remembrance to honour and remember trans people who lost their lives during the year. According to the Transrespect versus Transphobia Worldwide (TvT) research project of Transgender Europe, at least 116 trans people were reported murdered in Europe since 2008.

Today, 20th November, Trans Day of Remembrance, we remember the 295 trans and gender-diverse people who have lost their lives in the last year.

We mourn in solidarity with those worst affected by this violence: migrants, people of colour and sex workers. Together we can begin to resist the violence against our communities.
